Established City law firm are looking for an office coordinator / secretarial team leader to be responsible for the day to day management of the legal secretaries and other support staff. You will be expected to mentor and develop the team, encouraging them to progress and develop within their roles. The position is suited to someone with previous management experience and who is confident at dealing with people. The role will include monitoring holiday and sickness absence as well as time keeping; conducting interviews for potential new recruits; overseeing the induction of new employees; performing annual performance appraisals for support staff and developing performance plans for underperformers; carrying out regular 1:1 meetings with staff to set objectives and ensure any training needs are met; and effectively managing the staffing resource.
It is essential that you have previous management experience within another law firm and are able to provide effective leadership and management to the team.
