Office Manager
Location: Oxted, Surrey Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: £Entirely Negotiable

Prestigious law firm based in Surrey are looking for an office manager who will take charge of the general day-to-day office management and ensure the smooth running of the office. You will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and maintaining solicitors’ continued professional development and training records
  • Ensuring compliance with Employment Law and Health & Safety Legislation
  • Assisting with staff recruitment
  • Completing and submitting the SRA`s Equality and Diversity questionnaire
  • Preparing documentation for and organising staff appraisals
  • Producing, implementing and maintaining the firm’s rules and policies and ensuring their full compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice
  • Renewing solicitors’ Practising Certificates and annual SRA firm authorization
  • Managing and reviewing supplier contracts
  • Maintaining the office condition and arranging necessary repairs
  • Managing and maintaining the content of the firm’s website
  • Applying for and maintaining compliance with Lexcel accreditation/standards
  • Liaising with external regulators, accountants and auditors
  • Arranging and managing legal directory submissions (Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 etc)

It is essential that you have at least three years’ experience as the office manager / practice manager of a law firm, have excellent time management skills and exceptional communication skills. There may be an opportunity for flexible working arrangements and part time hours if required by the candidate.
