Job Title: Events and Hospitality Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: to £75,000+ (negotiable – depending on experience)

Leading American law firm are looking for an events and hospitality manager for their London office to facilitate, plan, organise and execute firm events (both internal and external). A selection of events will include: lunches, dinners, seminars, client receptions, charitable events, social events, client development, and away days. This is a new role for the London office and you will be collaborating closely with the US based team as well as senior management.

A selection of role responsibilities will include:

  • Researching site venues, caterers and other vendors, and actively establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Planning and executing internal events to include: venue selection, contract negotiation, menu selection, design of invitation and reminders, RSVPs, creating and managing the event in the event management software, list management, seating plans, preparation of name-badges and support materials, audio visual components, onsite staffing, and post event follow-up
  • Project management
  • Drafting event communications, organizing data, files, and materials, compiling information, preparing reports
  • Working closely with the Business Development team with relation to relevant London Partner events and conference participation (i.e. speaking engagements)
  • Managing budgets, event schedules and agendas
  • Managing a small team of reception and catering firm members

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have worked as either an events / hospitality manager or senior events executive at another leading law firm or other corporate / professional services environment, be a very strong communicator and strong organisational, project and time management skills. Also, a good knowledge of London venues and vendors would be highly beneficial.

This is a new role and the client are looking for someone to grow the London events function and work closely with the US office. Exceptional benefits package including bonus.
