Our client, a leading Property Consultancy, are looking for a legal counsel, who will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on commercial and contractual issues, help navigate complex legal issues as well as developing and maintaining an effective compliance system in accordance with the local legal framework and the compliance functions for the company in both the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on the terms of commercial contracts including service agreements, procurement agreements and supply agreements etc.
  • Providing support in the event of disputes or potential disputes and litigation matters and conduct internal investigations where necessary
  • Developing and managing a compliance and legal framework within jurisdictions to ensure the business is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the corporate secretarial function including drafting of directors’ / shareholders’ resolutions
  • Monitoring changes in laws and regulations that may impact the group’s business and recommend actions and measures
  • Identifying, advising on and devising mitigation strategies for legal risk

Ideally, the firm would like circa 6 years’ PQE inhouse but they may consider corporate/commercial  solicitors from private practice. You must have meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills as well as a proven track record working in corporate and contract law. This is an ideal role if you are looking to move in-house and work in a dynamic international environment.
