Job Title: Legal Talent Manager / Legal HR Manager 

Location: London

Salary: to £150,000 negotiable (depending on experience) + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Prestigious American law firm are looking for a legal talent manager to work across the firm’s legal personnel groups to manage a variety of legal talent functions within the London office, collaborating closely with the head office in the US. The successful candidate will have a significant hand in driving success, working very closely with the firm’s leadership and senior management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising all incoming legal talent and integrating them within the firm; 
  • The key driver to improving the associate experience, recommending and developing approaches that foster a positive and engaging environment;
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with attorneys and staff at all levels, facilitating effective communication and feedback with leadership;
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all secondees / overseas students from the American offices;
  • Working with the American offices to ensure consistency in the delivery of a first-class orientation and integration experience for new attorney hires and rotating associates;
  • Reviewing and updating all written communication related to office transfers and onboarding;
  • Working with various internal teams to present key data trends and takeaways related to work allocation and resource needs;
  • Collaborating with the HR team to answer questions and resolve issues related to employee relations and benefits matters;
  • Handling relocation logistics for new attorney hires;
  • Monitoring the budget and preparing detailed analyses and projections;

The successful candidate will be a graduate with circa five plus years of experience in legal HR, talent management, or talent acquisition / recruitment, ideally from another top US / international law firm. It is essential that you are experienced and confident with ER and conflict management and able to effectively resolve conflict and, on occasion, navigate difficult conversations.

You must have exceptional communication skills as this will be a highly visible role with the successful candidate being the main point of contact for all new attorney hires. Ideally you will be a dedicated professional and passionate about driving organizational success.

The salary on this position is up to £150,000 (depending on experience) as well as excellent benefits and a generous bonus scheme.
