A forward thinking, innovative law firm are looking for a residential conveyancing assistant / paralegal to join their firm and deal primarily with residential property work, but there will also be an opportunity to assist the private client team. You will be running your own caseload with supervision and this is an ideal opportunity for a paralegal looking to take on more fee earning responsibility.

Key duties will include:

  • Assisting a small team of fee earners with their caseload with all aspects of the transaction from instruction through to post-completion
  • Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents etc.
  • File opening
  • Companies House Registrations
  • AML checks
  • File closing including matter balances
  • Conducting property searches
  • Post completion tasks
  • Sending out draft contract packs
  • Drafting legal documents

It is essential that you have circa 6 months’ experience as a property paralegal / conveyancing assistant, good academics including the LPC, exceptional client and communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude. Fanatic training on offer and they do promote internally – there is the potential of a training contract after 3 months. This role is ideal for an ambitious, motivated candidate looking to gain quality experience and a high level of responsibility in a thriving and collaborative firm.
