A forward thinking, innovative law firm are looking for a residential conveyancing assistant / paralegal to join their firm and assist a fee earner with their caseload. Initially, there will be a focus on post-completion work as there is an urgent file closing / post-completion project but after that is completed you will be supporting more generally with residential property work.

Key duties will include:

  • Assisting a fee earner with their caseload with all aspects of the transaction from instruction through to post-completion
  • Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents etc.
  • File opening
  • Companies House Registrations
  • AML checks
  • File closing including matter balances
  • Conducting property searches
  • Post completion tasks
  • Sending out draft contract packs
  • Drafting legal documents

It is essential that you have circa 6 months’ experience as a property paralegal / conveyancing assistant and be confident with the post-completion process. You must also have good academics including the LPC, exceptional client and communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude. This role is ideal for an ambitious, motivated candidate looking to gain quality experience in a thriving and collaborative firm.
