Job Title: BD Manager

Salary: circa £80,000

Location: Central London

Leading US law firm are looking for an experienced and innovative BD manager to take on and develop a new role in their London Office and drive forward the firm’s growth strategy. It is essential that you have extensive BD and marketing experience from another corporate UK/US law firm as well as the ability to focus and direct BD activity.  

Responsibilities will include:

• Event planning to include organising and executing all events, conferences, dinners etc.
• Implementing new client development initiatives and identifying new business development opportunities through strategic research
• All aspects of the tendering/pitch process from assessing the pitch opportunities and making recommendations to producing the documentation, debriefing post-pitch, and identifying trends in order to recommend alternative approaches on future pitches
• Monitoring industry news and legal developments, website, competitors and updates and coordinating market research
• Working collaboratively with senior management, partners and international offices
• Evaluating sponsorship and profile raising opportunities
• Drafting and posting material on the firms’ website and external communication channels / social media management

You must possess exceptional communication and networking skills so that you can enhance the strong relationships already in place. You must also be able to manage multiple projects while prioritising time critical assignments.
