An established commercial law firm in the city require an IT assistant to help with the IT support for their office. Whilst previous experience of working within a law firm IT team would be an advantage, they are also happy to see IT/computing graduates with good technical knowledge or business support professionals looking for a change into IT.
Working in tandem with the IT manager your role will involve assisting with first and second line support and various projects and ad hoc tasks. Duties that can be expected include; handling IT queries either remotely or face to face and responding via telephone and e-mail; troubleshooting problems with Windows based workstations; updating desktop software; setting up new users and removing old users; assisting with maintenance of existing infrastructure including desktop and server systems; keeping track of computer equipment; setting up equipment for meetings etc.
This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking for a break into IT or to build upon their existing experience. There is some potential for working from home on a rota basis if this is a preference.
