Our client, a US law firm, is seeking an accounts assistant to join their expanding accounts team. It is essential that you have previously worked in another law firm as a legal cashier / legal accounts assistant (around 12-18 months’ experience) and possess knowledge of SRA rules.

Expected duties include:

  • Processing expenses.
  • Updating purchase ledger.
  • Processing transactions.
  • Reconciling vendor and supplier ledgers and statements.
  • Liaising with fee-earners and managements regarding payments.
  • Ad hoc project work and other duties.

This is an ideal opportunity to join a successful practice and take on a varied position. They are prepared to mentor someone that has not undertaken all the expected duties, and in fact want to take someone on who is motivated and over time can take on new responsibilities. This would also suit someone from a regional law firm looking to progress into a city firm. Hybrid working is available, but you will be required to work in the office until you are fully up and running.

McKinlay Law endeavour to contact all successful candidates within 24 hours. However, due to the volume of applications that we receive, we are not able to respond to every candidate individually. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours your application has been unsuccessful and we have not retained your details.
