Job Title: Private Client Paralegal / LPC Graduate

Location: Central London

Salary: £30,000 negotiable

Prestigious, boutique law firm based in Central London are looking for a private client paralegal to join their leading, award-winning team. They are happy to see private client paralegals with some experience but they are also interested in LPC graduates with a genuine interest in this area of work and ideally a relevant elective.

The team deals with an array of clients, both in the UK and abroad, with a wide range of trust, wills, probate, tax and estate planning work. There will be extensive client interaction from day one and so you must have the confidence and dynamism to deal with the firm’s high profile client base.

A selection of duties will include:

  • Drafting wills
  • Preparing client care documents
  • UK tax advice on lifetime and death
  • Putting together court bundles for contentious matters
  • Drafting Lasting Power of Attorney documents and probate applications
  • Probates with both a UK and non-UK element
  • Conducting legal research
  • Liaising with Counsel and the Courts
  • Assisting on high value trust matters involving assets and beneficiaries in several jurisdictions

It is essential that you have strong academics and ideally some experience in a private client team as a paralegal (although candidates with an elective in this area and a genuine interest will also be considered) and have exceptional organisational, client and communication skills. You must also be proactive in your work. An exceptional environment and plenty of scope for personal development in a very well-established and influential team.

McKinlay Law endeavour to contact all successful candidates within 24 hours. However, due to the volume of applications that we receive, we are not able to respond to every candidate individually. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours your application has been unsuccessful and we have not retained your details.
