Rapidly expanding City based property company are growing their in-house legal team due to a significant increase in their workload and are looking for an NQ who is capable of handling all aspects of the residential process, from instruction to post completion.

The role

You will report into the Conveyancing Manager. On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Be responsible for managing the legal case due diligence and advance payment process for your assigned cases through rigorous process management
  • Liaise effectively with the vendor’s solicitor and ensure that matters are progressed
  • Anticipate and solve problems early in the process
  • Make judgement calls on case issues within the legal risk framework and know when to escalate issues
  • Work closely with the customer facing team so that customers can stay informed about the progress their property is making
  • Work independently on cases
  • Provide conveyancing advice to the valuation team
  • Provide conveyancing details to our in-house progression team
  • Issue contracts to new customers
  • Manage the process of paying out advances on properties

This is a really interesting, forward thinking company and you will be responsible for optimising the conveyancing process and outcomes while managing the team’s capacity in line with their ambitious growth plans.

It is essential that you are newly qualified solicitor with a seat in residential property, a very positive attitude and a proactive manner. You will be given as much responsibility as you are able to handle and this is an ideal opportunity to take on a full fee earning role with a lot of autonomy.
